Lyric "Seen How Things Are Hard"

I took you to the train
Stupid shit you just play
I took the pictures in my head
You look like a skeleton, a little dressy thing
You just didn't care
You're all getting drunk instead
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
I love you though
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
Well, don't you know
The state of what you've got?
It's a dizzy hot and just damn forgot
Stay well away from trouble that you caused
Using all your strength
To keep the world at an arm's length
And I get upset that something was lost
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
I love you though
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
Well, don't you know
I'm a glad reflection of you
I can't make corrections for you
You have to help to patch things up
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
I love you though
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
Well, don't you know?
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
I love you though
Seen how things are hard
Seen how things are hard
Well, don't you know?

Elliott Smith

Steven Paul Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Smith was born in Omaha, Nebraska, raised primarily in Texas, and lived for much of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he first gained popularity. Smith's primary instrument was the guitar, though he was also proficient with piano, clarinet, bass guitar, drums, and harmonica. Smith had a distinctive vocal style, characterized by his "whispery, spiderweb-thin delivery", and used multi-tracking to create vocal layers, textures, and harmonies.
