Liam Payne has revealed One Direction's bad blood with President Donald Trump.

As One Direction member Liam Payne recounts in a new interview with Rollacoaster, the group once had the misfortune of staying in one of Trump’s hotels. While staying at one of Trump's famous hotels, the band received a phone call from Trump while they were sleeping asking if they would meet his daughter, presumably Tiffany, and their manager declined after refusing to wake them up.

He said: “Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn’t believe it. It was about (meeting) his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep.

Trump then proceeded to throw the entire band out of the hotel, and even refused to let them leave through a secret exit, said Liam.

Payne continued: “He said ‘well, wake them up’ and I was like ‘no’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously, in New York, we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’” With no other real option, Payne and his bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, were forced to vacate the premises.

Trump also recently found himself in a feud with rapper Snoop Dogg, regarding his controversial music video for Lavender, in which he shoots a Trump lookalike with a toy gun.

The president responded to the clip saying if Snoop had done that to Obama he'd have been in jail.

Payne, on the other hand is focused on the impending birth of his child. He and girlfriend Cheryl Cole are set to welcome their first child together any day now.

One Direction are currently on an extended hiatus with each member currently enjoying solo careers; Payne's first record will be released later this year. Payne's fellow bandmate Niall Horan recently promised fans that the band would 'definitely' reunite one day in the future.
